Our Relationship with Amazon and Other Retailers

MAP participates in affiliate programs, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com. When you click a product link in our Gear Hub buying guides and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.

How This Affects Our Recommendations

Affiliate commissions do not influence which products we recommend. Every item in our buying guides was selected based on field experience, instructor input, and real-world use — not commission rates. We only recommend gear we would stake our own preparedness on.
